Other Hits from 2019

The Lean Startup by Eric Reis

This book offers a ton of great insight into starting a business, while not being overwhelming. I had no idea it was from one of the founders of IMVU when I picked it up which was a nice surprise.

Dwight's Second Life

Freedom by Daniel Suarez

This is the second part of the Daemon series and possibly my single favorite book. The AR environment that is built in this world seems achievable in our lifetimes which makes me want to contribute to the technology. It also offers a fitting conclusion to the series.

Kill Decision by Daniel Suarez

After reading the Daemon series, I was hungry for more of Daniel Suarez content. Kill Decision is a pretty cool sci-fi story about drones programmed in the patterns of killer ants.

Zero Day by Mark Russinovich

Mark Russinovich has such an interesting background and this book had such high reviews, I was actually a little let down by this one. That being said, I have the urge to read the next book in the “Jeff Aiken” series, so maybe I did like it?

The Hardcore Diaries by Mick Foley

Hard to go wrong with a Mick Foley memoir. This ones digs into his TNA run which is was enlightening.

Some Books from 2018 and Before

Have a Nice Day by Mick Foley

This is the best book in Pro Wrestling hands down and Mick Foley’s first. Story goes the whole book was written on spiral notebooks which Mick carried around writing for years. Its hilarious and goes from his parents backyard in upstate New York to the top of a 16’ HELL IN A CELL! Bah Gawd he’s dead! What a story.

A Lion’s Tale: Around the World in Spandex by Chris Jericho

This is Chris Jericho’s first book about the beginning of his career. From Calgary to Mexico to Japan to World Championship Wrestling he gives us a peek behind the curtain. Whether a fan of wrestling or not, this book is a lot of fun.

The Martian by Andy Wier

Pretty cool book about a witty, resourceful engineer/astronaut stuck on Mars. The book is definitely better than the movie, but both are worth the time for anyone looking for a space mishap action comedy.

Your Ideas, Inc by Sandy Abrams

A book about starting a business from the creator of Moisture Jamzz! I’d recommend many others above this one, but its a nice look at a sustainable business model.
